# Unfumble

> Unfumble is the automatic keyboard language switcher for Mac. It detects the language a person intends to type, switches the keyboard layout automatically, and fixes words started in the wrong layout without requiring deletion or retyping.

Unfumble is a native macOS menu-bar utility for bilingual and multilingual people. It works system-wide in standard text fields, follows the preferred language of each app or website, and also offers manual correction by keyboard shortcut or the macOS Services menu.

## Core value

- Removes the repeated need to switch keyboard layouts by hand.
- Rewrites wrong-layout text as the person types; for example, `akuo` becomes `שלום`.
- Uses app context to avoid unwanted corrections, such as distinguishing terminal commands from conversational text.
- Learns words the person chooses to keep after an immediate Undo.
- Runs on-device. Typed content is never transmitted, logged, or sent to a cloud model.

## Compatibility

- Platform: macOS 13 Ventura or later.
- Hardware: Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
- Permission: macOS Accessibility, used to read and replace text in place.
- Secure input fields, including password fields, are excluded.

## Supported languages

English, Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Ukrainian, Russian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Macedonian, Greek, Armenian, Georgian, Hindi, and Thai.

## Pricing and availability

- The first 100 fixed words are free, with no account or payment card required.
- An individual license costs USD 14.99 once and covers up to two Macs.
- Team and enterprise licensing, shared keys, and MDM deployment support are available.
- The macOS app is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
